better late than never

Do these little images of my very exciting detour into a fabulous shop I found yesterday make your heart skip a beat?

Imagine the colors more vibrant than my iPhone will allow, more goodies than you could ever take photos of, crystal chandeliers throughout the store, the strong smell of an artsy fartsy cute as crap coffee shop attached to it next door, and the sound of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin singing a tune while you drool over multi-colored couches and wish somehow you could go back to this time; the era in which you should have most definitely been coming of age within instead of the grungy, greasy 90's.

Or maybe that's all
just tacky, plastic loving, thrift shop livin', me.

I found this cute as a button
little shop, Street Scenes, on the way to getting my new driver's license yesterday. Horrible, cringe-worthy license photo for me, but the best little coffee table to make up for it, after.

Here are the photos of our new funky vintage coffee table in it's new home, as promised =)

I can't wait to head out to Lowe's tomorrow morning and pick out the perfect shade to spray-paint my $90 prize. It may not seem as if it "goes" with the decor right now, as if you even remember the decor of my family room. But just wait ~ I'll give you the entire picture tomorrow and you'll see...

Or you'll bite your tongue.

Because I don't want to hear it
if it just ain't your cup of tea ;)

What? You liked the dirty, yellowed~beige color, dingy and aged from the very sweet 60's era? Sorry, folks, it will most likely be gone by tomorrow evening!

I will for sure have to update you with the "after" pictures AS WELL as a very necessary update of my lovey dovey blue family room. It's PRETTY MUCH finished and I haven't shared with you!

Shame, shame.

If you're in the Lexington area, you must stop by this vintage shop which only sells items from the 50's, 60's, and 70's.
